Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy 

A physiotherapist is trained to improve a person's movement and strength and pain by teaching therapeutic exercises. A pelvic floor physiotherapist has additional training to help rehabilitate pelvic floor muscles. at our clinic the pelvic floor physiotherapist assists with a variety of pelvic health concerns such as:

  • Male & Female Urinary Incontinence

  • Male & Female Fecal Incontinence

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse

  • Overactive Bladder/Urgency

  • Pre and Postnatal pelvic floor strengthening 

  • Provoked Vulvar Vestibulodynia (Vaginal Pain)

  • Dyspareunia (Painful Intercourse)

During your initial assessment the physiotherapist completes a detailed subjective and objective assessment. You are provided with a thorough explanation of our exam findings and your treatment options. 


Treatment techniques vary depending on the problem. Treatment options include pelvic floor muscle activation and awareness exercises, core and muscle balance exercises, biofeedback, and behavioural modification techniques that may include eating and toileting patterns. 


Pelvic floor pain, bowel, and bladder concerns can be sensitive topics. All clients receive high quality treatment in a confidential, professional, and compassionate environment.
